Kelvin Energy, Inc. is a U.S. based, privately held entity with a focus on the use of solar thermal energy technology for a variety of applications. With offices in Houston, TX and Nipton, CA, it directs the activities of Kelvin Energy Development, LLC, Kelvin Energy Construction Management, Inc. and Kelvin Energy Asset Holdings, LLC. Kelvin retains a minority interest in its former subsidiaries now organized under a new Israeli company, called New BrightSource, Ltd.

Kelvin Energy Development, LLC is a project development company. It has solar thermal project development rights in the U.S. and Canada utilizing New BrightSource, Ltd. technology and holds an exclusive technology license (also from new BrightSource, Ltd.) for servicing the Ivanpah, CA solar thermal power plant.

Kelvin Energy Construction Management, Inc.

Kelvin Energy Construction Management, Inc. provides engineering and support services and holds an exclusive technology license (from New BrightSource, Ltd.) for servicing the Ivanpah, CA solar thermal power plant, one of the largest CSP projects in the world. These services include technical support of the plant’s solar field software and hardware, technical advisory work, and procurement of key solar field parts (OEM and replacements).

Kelvin Energy Asset Holdings, LLC

Kelvin Energy Asset Holdings, LLC acts as the asset manager for Kelvin’s minority ownership position at the Ivanpah, CA solar thermal plant. Located in Nipton, CA, Ivanpah is jointly owned by subsidiaries of NRG, Google and Kelvin and began operation in early 2014. KEAH is also responsible for managing Kelvin’s equity position in New BrightSource, Ltd, an Israeli company with principal offices in Jerusalem, Israel.
